Jana Kořínková is at present a postgraduate
student of Semitic languages at the Institute of the Ancient Near Eastern
Studies and Comparative Linguistics, Charles University, Prague, preparing
her doctoral thesis on the Akkadian desiderative in the light of Semitic
comparative linguistics. She works as a researcher at the Czech National
Centre for Egyptology, Prague where she specialises in the interrelations
between Egypt and the Near East in the 2nd millennium B.C., mainly during
the period of transition from Middle to Late Bronze Age.
